It’s a little like “Where’s Waldo?”, especially with the matching shirts.
And if you are benighted enough to think that Asians all look the same, then it will be even harder.

I’ll come clean and admit that we went to Red Mango again (two days in a row — did I mention that I love this stuff?). This one had waffles, which suited LB’s palate more than the fro-yo.
So instead of birthday cake, we had freshly made <3-shaped waffles with strawberry jam and whipped cream.
Happy Birthday, LB!

The sign on this one was in Hangul (perhaps because it was in 인사동?). You can see a poster for the waffles, as well as for 녹차 (green tea) flavored frozen yogurt, which also wasn’t available at the first one that we went to. I’m not sure how “healthy” the waffles actually are, but it’s a nice idea!

Dear Sang-Shil,
I like you a lot. You know I do, even if you don’t always like me. We go through a lot together, you and I, and along with the bad times we definitely have some good ones.
So I’m writing to say that I miss you. Please stop spending SO MUCH time online, just for a few days, and instead spend some time with ME, your lovely, friendly, LIFE. If you pay attention to me for a little bit, I’ll try to return the favor and send good things your way.
Just take care of some of the necessities and then you can go back to your little online world, I promise. And remember, 화이팅!
Sincerely,
Your Life

Dear Life,
I’m sorry to hear that you feel neglected. However, I find that I simply can’t escape the siren call of all those blogs written by people who have such fascinating lives and interesting things to say.
I’ll take your request under advisement and see what I can do.
Sincerely,
Sang-Shil

These past
few days
I’ve been
drowning
my sorrows
in K-dramas
because I don’t have
any soju. In all of these shows
there is at least one scene where
someone attempts to submerge
her misery in alcohol, so for now
I am content to live vicariously
through silly TV shows. Because
however we choose to try and
escape the reality of our current
lives, everything that we hate or
fear will be there waiting for us
when we return.
