Since I think I’m averaging about a post a month here these days, I am certainly not going to post every day during the month of November. (We can just call it NO-Na-Blo-Po-Mo.) But I do want to try and post more, however mundane or trite or non-adoption related (or short) it might be.
Some of the blogs that I am most interested in these days are what I think of as “small blogs” — they are tend to be very personal, very intimate, and very few people read them (at least judging from the number of comments and feed subscribers). But the writing is deep, thoughtful, funny, and earnest. Intense without slamming you over the head with SCREAMING CAPS and bold and italics (OR EVEN ALL THREE!). Most of the bloggers are Korean adoptees, but the blogs are not “adoption” blogs per se — and I love that. I get to see people as full people, or at least fuller than the narrow lens of adoption will reveal.
Maybe, for a month, I can try that out, see if it fits… and see if anyone is still here on November 30th

Y’know, that’s a good idea – for adoptees to blog about more than “just” adoption. Perhaps I’ll try doing that on my blog a bit more – to show more of my everyday life instead of just my ranting about adoption-related things.

Glad to see that you are still blogging. My little blog calls to me every now and then but life seems to be too demanding of late.

I don’t care what you post about – I just like hearing about what’s going on with you. (Okay, maybe LESS stalker-like comment would have been better… but you know what I mean, yes?) I do take extra day or two to really digest some of your more “academic” or analytical posts because they do make me think…

윤선 — that’s the great thing about blogs: we can write whatever we want. I know that some people want to blog pretty close to their “theme” and for others it’s a free-for-all…. I guess I’m somewhere in the middle, as always.
junemoon — wow, so great to hear from you! I hope that whatever life is demanding of you is manageable and positive. Wishing you the best up there as your days grow shorter, and I look forward to reading any little posts that you might eke out.
MN — stalker, no; persistent, yes. And that’s a good thing, because without persistence then I would be all alone.
